As a skilled moderator, you know that a discussion guide is a guide and not a script. You follow the flow of conversation, listen intently and probe appropriately and insightfully. You keenly understand clients’ business challenges and are accustomed to delivering insights to guide their decision-making.
What You’ll Do
As our Qualitative Research Moderator you will:

Be part of MarketView’s exceptional team of researchers working with top Fortune 500 clients

Participate in overall design of project specifications and methodologies for qualitative research projects, including proposal and cost structures, the creation of discussion guides and other supporting materials

Determine timelines, develop discussion guides and partner with clients & internal teams
-
Moderate video or in-person focus groups, in-depth interviews (in-person, webcam and telephone) and ethnographic research (in home and in store) using MarketView Research best practices, intuition and skill

Be willing to learn/ pitch-in with other aspects our business (including quantitative and field departments) when additional team support is needed
Desired Skills/Experience

5+ years of experience as a qualitative researcher or moderator

BA/BS degree in business, marketing or related social science discipline

Completion of a professional moderator training course (i.e. RIVA, Burke) and proven ability to apply best practices learned

CPG, Food and Beverage, Retail, Beauty research and insights experience- a plus
-
Exceptional communications skills- both verbal and written
-
A passion for - and curiosity about - what makes consumers tick

A proactive and entrepreneurial attitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work on multiple projects

Strong collaboration and consulting skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to think creatively

Ability to work well across teams, departments, and different geographical locations

A knack for problem solving and creating efficiencies within existing processes

Comfortable operating in and learning new virtual platforms for research via video
This position is a full-time/hybrid at our offices in Edgewater, NJ.
